TMU Miles Since Restoration
Color: Burgundy
Engine: V8 - 302ci
This 1949 Willys truck was originally restored about 15 years ago in Southern California. An elderly gentleman purchased it and moved to Montana shortly after. He had a nice collection of classics and they all sat inside for the next 14 years. It’s a beautiful rust-free classic that is in incredible shape. I went through a lengthy process before firing her up again and replaced most of the external engine components, flushed all the fluids and a complete tune-up. The end result is a great running, driving and smooth riding 74-year-old vintage Willys. It has a complete 1969 Ford Mustang running gear transplant with a new Painless wiring system, 302 V8, C4 automatic transmission with a Hurst shifter and 9” rearend which makes for a much better daily driver. It was a body off restoration so the frame has been painted black, fenders removed and powder coated black and a nice burgundy paint job that I would consider more of a patina look with different shadings flowing through it. Brand new tires, wheels as well as suspension and shock components were replaced so it rides nice, brakes work perfectly, and surprisingly there isn’t a squeak or rattle anywhere. It also has turn signals, blower heating, all new interior including headliner and all the gauges work including the original speedometer which is only about 1-2 mph off GPS on my phone. This ride also has the hard-to-find Willys tailgate with the “W” stamped in it.
