A true survivor classic now live on Bring A Trailer - https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1962-chevrolet-corvair-monza-convertible-3/. This 1962 Chevrolet Corvair Monza 900 convertible is a one owner car from the Bay Area. It was purchased new at Ellis Brooks Chevrolet in 1962 and is fully original and unrestored. The odometer indicates 34,259 miles which could be original. I have all the receipts and books from the past 61 years but all the receipts from the early years (E-Z Davies Chevrolet) are no longer legible. However, the earliest receipt that is legible is from 7/11/78 and shows 10.787 miles and all future dates sequentially follow to current mileage. However, they could have driven for over 100,000 miles in those first 16yrs so TMU. The original color was Crystal Turquoise and the owner decided he wanted it the current pale yellow. It has the original 6cyl, 2 single barrel carb setup with a 4-speed manual transmission and runs great. She has had a complete tune-up, new fuel pump, fuel and air filters and fluids flushed. The back window of the original top was cracked out so I had a brand new and perfectly installed new white top. There was also some cracking on the passenger seat so I had the upholsterers use the original parade boot and replace so it’s back to like new. Both of which equated to $2,000. You can no longer purchase the exact material but one could have another parade boot made in black or white depending on your desire.
