This is one of the rare opportunities to find a single family owned and un-molested ’71 Chevelle SS. The current owner’s father bought it new in 1971 and wanted the bench seat a 4-speed mated to the 350 V8 with stock manifolds and dual exhaust. He also had the dealer install air conditioning. It is a zero-rust vehicle, number’s matching, with one original color repaint, seats changed to a vinyl with cloth insets and just over 64,000 original miles. Chrome bumpers front and rear are excellent as is the grill. The black dash is excellent, all the gauges are fully functioning (alt, tach, speedo, temp and fuel) except for the clock. She has power steering and brakes with discs in the front and drums in the rear. A 12-bolt rear-end assures you connect with the road when you get on it and the dual exhaust sounds throaty.
After her father’s passing, he left this amazing classic to his daughter and they had a very nice stereo system installed. The past years it has mainly sat under cover in their garage so they have decided it is time to get it in the hands of someone who will drive and show it. They do have the original spare tire and jack and are in the process of going through boxes looking for all the original paperwork which will be posted soon.
